Preserving digital data

Secure Sciences specializes in the preservation, archiving and curation of digital data, in particular scientific and technical. 

This is a complex area.  On the one hand there is a growing body of standards and regulations which relate to digital preservation and electronic records management.  On the other hand, file formats multiply and technology continues to move on, bringing new tools and massive computing power, increasingly distributed. 

A major development in this area is the Grid, and Secure Sciences, with the Digital Archiving Consultancy, has recently conducted a large-scale study into implications of the Grid for digital records.
